About Chemical Peels
Chemical Peels have been used for decades to rejuvenate and refine the look of our skin. Luminosity Studios in South Guelph offers two kinds of chemical peel treatments that are guaranteed to brighten, firm and illuminate your skin.
Vivier Peel 10% Lactic Acid, 2% Salicylic Acid, 14% Rescorcinol
Designed to regenerate and rejuvenate the skin by gently and effectively reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, blemishes, brown spots, uneven skin tone, acne scarring and enlarged pores. Vivier medical grade chemical peels work by removing the outermost layer of skin, causing immediate gratification by diminishing imperfections and stimulating collagen and elastin production to refresh, firm and illuminate your skin. The Vivier Peel will immediately improve skin texture, brightness and firmness, giving a fresher, younger appearance to the face, hands and neck. Known as the “Glow” peel, it is perfect right before a special event.
The Vivier Peel can be used as a standalone treatment or combined with other treatments such as Clear + Brilliant laser or Dermeluxx Hydrofacial for more enhanced results. While you will notice improvement immediately following your first peel, 3 Vivier peels are recommended 2-4 weeks apart for maximum benefit.
The Vivier Peel contains contains 10% Lactic acid, 2% Salicylic acid, and 14% Resorcinol
Lactic acid is an Alpha hydroxy acid (AHA). AHAs are used to diminish fine lines, create a more even skin tone and smooth and firm the skin. Salicylic acid is a Beta hydroxy acid (BHA). Salicylic acid is wonderful at deeply declogging pores because it’s oil-soluble. Resorcinol is a medical grade acid that penetrates more deeply into the skin.
Chemical Peels are not suitable for people who are pregnant or nursing, under 18 years of age, have undergone chemotherapy or radiation, have used Accutane in the past year before treatment.
SkinCeuticals Gel Peel 20% Glycolic Acid, 10% Lactic Acid
This glycolic peel is a skin resurfacing treatment that targets discoloration, uneven skin tone, dull/tired skin, the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and pore congestion without over-drying the skin. SkinCeuticals Gel Peel revitalizes photodamaged skin by stimulating collagen synthesis and remodeling elastin. This treatment reduces the appearance of aging skin and will leave your face looking and feeling bright, radiant and youthful.
*Treatment includes application of SkinCeuticals Micropolish exfoliant, Vitamin-C firming mask and anti-oxidant serum with brightening properties.
The SkinCeuticals Gel Peel can be used as a standalone treatment or combined with other treatments such as Clear + Brilliant laser or Dermeluxx Hydrofacial for more enhanced results. For maximum results a series of 4-6 peels is recommended 2-4 weeks apart.
